Second Stop:
Destination 2 is the Terracotta Warriors in China.
Another place I really wanted to see is in China. It is the Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an, Shaanxi province. It is a collection of more than 8,000 terra cotta statues of warriors and animals. This was buried with the Qin Emperor around 210 BC. The mausoleum of the emperor is nearby. It was ony unearthed in 1974 and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
I remember seeing this in one season of the Amazing Race and that ignited my desire to indeed visit this part of China. We have also discussed this back in college when I was taking up Asian History. You don't get to see hundreds of life-sized statue in one place (and to think this was created thousand of years ago).
I don't why, but I am attracted to historical things. I guess the history buff in me never fades. China is truly one of the places I one to visit. Good thing is, it is so near the Philippines. There are daily flights to China in many airlines including budget airline Cebu Pacific. So I really hope to visit this place soon.

Destination 1
I love to travel. But I don't have money to cover up all the expenses for a trip. But anyhow, I will be posting here places I really wanted to visit. These are places that somehow caught my attention. Maybe I saw a film about them or read about it somewhere. Basta these are the places I want to go before I die.
First Stop:
Destination 1 is Machu Picchu in Peru.
It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. Machu Picchu is sometimes referred to "Lost City of the Incas". It was built in 1450 and was abandoned a hundred years later when Spain conquered Peru. It was discovered again in 1911 by an American historian.
It is a city built on top of a mountain, so the area is very much untouched my modern society. Aside from its historical significance, I want to go there because it is also surrounded by nature. It is a historical place situated on top of a mountain. I guess it is a great place to reflect and relax.
Machu Picchu is very far from the Philippines, but I really hope I can visit this extraordinary place.

supposed to be a secret
I made this blog account more than a year ago (i think). And this is the first time I will be writing here. This was supposed to be a secret, but well you are here right now, so I guess it's not that secret anymore.
But that's okay. This blog is more about my random thoughts only. And I mean random. Silent Screamer is all about my life- updates, issues, etc. Perspectives of a Bum is all about society and what I think of it...
Passport is nothing really. I guess it is a merged of the two blogs. Hahaha, even I don't know what this account is for. But suffice to say, this account was older than the Perspectives blog.
That's it.
It's secret no more.
hehe
